01 · What we do

Slabs for sheds & rural sites

  • 01

    Shed & pole shed floors

Concrete floors for new sheds, pole sheds and barns.

  • 02

    Garage slabs, rebates & aprons

Garage floors, the rebate around the doors, and the apron: the small patio area in front of the garage doors.

  • 03

    Workshop floors

A level, hard-wearing floor for tools, benches and machinery.

  • 04

    Rural slabs

Slabs for farm buildings, yards and lifestyle blocks, wherever the site is.

02 · Options

Finishes for working floors

  • Large rural slab with a grid-pattern non-slip finish under a blue sky

    Grid finish

A grid pattern in the surface for extra grip.

  • Pole shed slab with timber poles on a hillside overlooking the sea

    Pole sheds

Slabs poured around the poles of a new pole shed.

  • Concrete apron in front of a dark garage with timber doors

    Garage aprons

A small patio area in front of the garage doors.

  • Smooth or broom

A smooth trowel finish is easy to sweep inside a workshop. A broom finish gives more grip outside or where it gets wet.

Shed slab FAQs

Do I need a building consent for my shed?

It depends on the shed. Some small sheds, and some single-storey pole sheds and hay barns in rural zones, don’t need a building consent, but each exemption has conditions. Check the government guide or ask your council before you build. Exempt work still has to meet the Building Code.

How big a slab can you do?

Tell us the size and what the shed will be used for, and we’ll quote it. One client’s review on this page is for a 65 m² shed floor.

Can you get to a rural site a long way from the road?

Yes. We work on lifestyle blocks and farms across Northland. Where the truck can’t get close, we can pump the concrete in.

Can the floor have a non-slip finish?

Yes. A broom finish or a grid finish, like the one in our photos, gives more grip for people, animals and vehicles.

Is the quote free?

Yes. Quotes and site visits are both free. Call 021 0270 7750 or use the quote form on this page.
